Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Partnership Development & Outreach
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with PA mentors, shadowing preceptors, PA programs, and community organizations.
  • Coordinate engagement with PA school faculty, admissions representatives, and healthcare providers to create opportunities for students.
  • Participate in fundraising efforts for program sustenance.
  1. Mentorship & Student Support
  • Provide general mentorship support to students and mentors.
  • Manage the EDGE-PA mentorship program, ensuring alignment with student needs.
  • Conduct mock interviews and CASPA application reviews to enhance student competitiveness.
  1. Student Recruitment & Program Expansion
  • Implement recruitment strategies to attract diverse candidates to the EDGE-PA program.
  • Represent the program at pre-PA events, conferences, and webinars.
  • Assist in outreach efforts targeting underrepresented minority students in the PA profession.

 

 

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director to enhance program success.

 

EDUCATION:

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS (IF APPLICABLE):

  • Master’s degree Preferred.
  • NCCPA Certification Preferred.
  • Eligibility for PA licensure preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of two years of clinical PA experience.
  • Prior experience in mentorship, student advising, or admissions coaching preferred.
  • Knowledge of PA program admissions processes is a plus.

 

SKILLS:

  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills within the PA community.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating with a team.
  • Passion for advancing diversity and inclusion in the PA profession.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and online educational platforms.

 

 Salary: $4590/2 units

COMPLEXITY:

  • The ability to perform highly detailed work with sustained attention and care while providing/obtaining information on numerous inquiries is paramount to success in this position.
