Our client is seeking an Interim Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) who embodies leadership, collaboration, and a people-centric approach. The ideal candidate will be pleasant, responsive, personally engaging, and technically proficient. This role requires a seasoned HR professional with comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of Human Resources. The position is 40 hours a week, onsite and near the South Station in downtown Boston.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and manage the HR team of 8, including 3 direct reports.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's goals.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive workplace culture.
- HR Operations
- Oversee all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Ensure the effective use of the HRIS (ADP) for managing HR processes.
- Develop and monitor HR policies and procedures.
- Employee Engagement
- Promote a positive and engaging work environment.
- Implement employee engagement initiatives and activities.
- Address employee concerns and grievances promptly and effectively.
- Talent Management
- Design and implement talent acquisition strategies.
- Oversee training and development programs.
- Manage performance appraisal processes.
- Compliance & Ethics
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Maintain ethical standards and promote a culture of integrity.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field. Masters Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience with HRIS (preferably ADP) and other HR technologies.
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to engage and inspire teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
