Job Summary
We are looking for an Animal Care Technician I / Cagewash to join our Insourcing Solutions team, located in Groton, CT.

What you will do!
In the Animal Care Technician I role, you will use existing SOPs and quality assurance standards to perform daily animal health observations, as well as animal husbandry and cagewash duties, to maintain quality and health of research animals. Supply food and water for research animals. You will also need to maintain accurate records of things like animal housing, animal health and necessary supplies. You may assist with restraint, handling, and manipulation of animal species, and you may become involved in the breeding and weaning procedures. Other duties may include supporting cagewash equipment operations and maintenance, monitoring personnel entry into various rooms, and general vivarium housekeeping, when required.
Job Qualifications
A candidate that possesses a high school diploma with 1 year of animal care / husbandry required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the requirements listed above. Interest in achieving ALAT certification upon eligibility.
The pay range for this position is $20-21 per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
