Job Summary

The Maintenance Planner will coordinate maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access anticipating and eliminating potential delays working cross-functionally. Reporting to the Supervisor, Facilities System Support, responsibilities include planning and coordinating all planned maintenance activities performed at the site by outside contractors and vendors.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Handle long- and short-range planning for facilities and equipment maintenance.
  • Utilize effective planning to ensure reliable and efficient operation of facilities.
  • Maintain bill of materials (BOM) information for every asset within area of responsibility.
  • Determine appropriate level of planning for each new work order and coordinate accordingly.
  • Assign proper codes during work identification, control, and planning phases.
  • Execute requisition services and identify materials for vendor planned work.
  • Track parts usage and ensure necessary inventory limits are maintained.
  • Submit purchase requests as dictated by current stock levels.
  • Utilize the Facility Master Production Scheduler to schedule and coordinate preventative maintenance and work order plans to ensure departments receive timely, efficient, and quality service.
  • Escalate unusual or critical situations to the relevant facilities leadership.
  • Seek facilities leader’s advice on matters outside the Planner’s knowledge or authority.
  • Contact and schedule outside vendors as required.
  • Collaborate with all departments to coordinate maintenance activies and to process documentation as necessary.
  • Generate and track maintenance work orders from Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (i.e. IBM Maxio®) Service Requests.
  • Develop and report monthly Quality Metrics Review (QMR) metrics
  • Follow a daily routine of attending site meetings.
  • Ensure safety is considered when developing every job plan escalating safety concerns, as needed.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education required
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years previous experience in planning and scheduling; experience related to maintenance, preferred
  • Strong communication, mathematical, organization and problem-solving skills
  • Experienced in Maintenance planning, desired
  • Basic Computer Skills including MS Word, EXCEL, Powerpoint, Outlook & Teams
  • Experience with CMMS, i.e. BMRAM or Maximo, preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals to ensure proper parts and maintenance schedules are determined
  • Proficient with maintenance terminology, equipment, and parts

The pay range for this position is $78,700 - $87,000. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
