What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Secretary (FT, Framingham) position at CHARLES RIVER MEDICAL ASSOCIATES?
Seeking a Full-time Front Desk / Medical Secretary in a 2MD, 1NP practice in our Framingham location conveniently located on Rt. 9 Westbound.
Hours: 8:00-4:30pm, or 8:30am-5pm

Answering and handling telephone calls from providers, patients, etc., including triaging calls appropriately- Checking patients in and out for their appointments
- Scheduling appointments including making referral and ancillary appointments
- Supporting physicians in their day-to-day work schedule
- Processing requests for referrals and prescription refills
- Handling tasks such as collecting payments, registering patients in the electronic medical records system, copying and mailing medical records, confirming insurance eligibility, providing patient reminders, addressing no-show patients, among others
- Keep track of office and medical supplies
- Coordinating care with other offices as needed
- Assisting in medical tasks such as rooming patients, taking vitals, and performing EKGs if needed
- Answering patients’ questions regarding billing, insurance issues, etc.
- Working as a team with other members of office to provide high quality patient care
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Office Manager
- Health Insurance: 90% of premium paid by CRMA for fulltime staff, prorated for part-time.
- 11 paid holidays/yr. 17 vacation/sick days/yr in addition. Prorated for part-time.
