The Mobile Technology organization leads a coordinated technology approach to continually improve Schwab’s Mobile solutions for Retail, Retirement, and the Automated Investment Platforms. Our team is seeking a talented Junior Android Developer, who has a passion for using state of the art technologies to build compelling interactive mobile applications.
- Be part of several Mobile teams that are passionate about building apps that are secure and customer delightful to use
- Build, enhance and troubleshoot native Android apps in an Agile, collaborative Environment
- Implement complex new features and functionality, as well as build entire applications end-to-end
- Work closely with developers, designers and our business partners to create functional solutions
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of Android development experience developing large scale Android applications
- 1 year experience using Kotlin to develop enterprise grade application
- Experience with dependency injections (DI) and use of DI tools such as dagger 2
- Experience writing Unit Test using various tools is required
- Experience writing UI test using tools such as Expresso/Cucumber is required
- Experience integrating with REST API
- Experience with reactive programming is a plus
- Experience with RX Java is a plus
- Experience working with CI/CD and debugging issues that arises is a plus
- Hands-on experience supporting multiple versions of Android SDKs, screen resolutions and device types
- Good understanding of the Object Oriented (OO) design and development skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
