The Communication Consulting team maximizes client retention and growth through needs-based client consulting and engagement strategies that drive better participant outcomes. We have dedicated teams that support different plan sizes and complexities.
As a Manager, Communications Consultant, you will be accountable to develop, deliver, and manage an effective participant engagement strategy for each of your assigned clients, encompassing Defined Contributions, Defined Benefits, and Non-Qualified retirement plans, stock plans and related services. You will also provide support to smaller clients through our pooled model.
We will look to you to:
- Become an expert in the WFS participant and their experience with Schwab. Learn about our clients, establish a positive relationship with plan contacts and be an active contributor on service teams
- Develop data-driven engagement strategies aligned with client goals that leverage scalable solutions with the power to improve participant outcomes and transform financial lives
- Work with your service team to manage client expectations to align with stated client agreements, including budget and service parameters
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal business partners to ensure successful end-to-end execution of participant engagement plans
- Assist in the sales process, which may include attending sales finals and site visits to win and retain clients
What you have

Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years working in financial services and experience working with participants/financial services clients, building and/or executing integrated strategies, and working with marketing/communications teams
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Analytical, data interpretation and consultative skills
- Articulate communicator with strong listening skills; presents well in person, on the phone and in meetings
- Proven ability to influence others and inspire action
- Collaborative with proven ability to develop internal and external partnerships
- High achievement orientation, measures success through quantitative results
- Ability to travel 25% or more for business
