We are seeking an experienced cloud platform engineer to focus on building a scalable and secure foundational fabric for AI and Data teams in the public cloud. This position requires a self-motivated individual with exceptional problem-solving skills who can contribute to a highly collaborative culture and a team environment to support our cloud data warehouse platform team. Specifically, you will be building solutions to support the hosting, consumption and collaboration of enterprise data assets. Your focus will be on reliability, maintainability and scalability of the cloud platform solutions while bringing fresh ideas to support our data and AI ecosystems.
What you have
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field OR related practical experience
- 5 years of experience in a software engineering role (Infrastructure or Application)
- 2 years of experience in public cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- 5 years in a programming language (Java, Python, Go desired)
- Proven ability to design components in Container Orchestration (Kubernetes desired) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform desired)
- Demonstrated implementation of automation, infrastructure, engineering and design of extensible software platforms with a strong focus on security, compliance and operational excellence
Preferred:
- Experience engineering cloud services to meet security and compliance in a regulated environment
- Experience in optimizing cloud resources based on cost and service availability
- Experience in design and support of platform services for large enterprise teams
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (GitHub Actions desired)
- Understanding and execution of SRE principles and practices for delivering platform services at scale
