As a Senior Software Engineer in Retirement Plan Services Technology, you will be a technical leader for your development team. You will work with your fellow team members to consistently produce high-quality output by providing guidance and support for all facets of software delivery, including design, development, testing, deployment, tooling, and support. You will serve as a strong, versatile hands-on technical lead to deliver solutions that meet business objectives in a flexible, collaborative, and rapidly changing environment.
More specifically, in this role you will:
- Assist with design and development of software applications that support retirement plan administration
- Participate on an agile team of developers, testers, product owners, and scrum masters
- Participate in discussions and engage with other team members to define system requirements
- Design and build automated tests
- Release applications to production environments on a regular basis
- Provide production application support for applications that require 99% uptime
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 10 years of .NET design and development experience
- Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented design, Microsoft SQL Server, SOAP and REST web services, CI/CD
- A strong knowledge of, and demonstrated expertise in, software design, development, testing, maintenance, and support
- Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to build rapport with and influence team members, peers, and partners
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly articulating complex technical issues and solutions to peers and partners
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban)
- Test Driven Development and automated test design
- Atlassian suite of products (Confluence, JIRA, Bamboo) and GitHub
- Angular JS, Spring Cloud, and microservices development
- Pivotal Cloud Foundry and Public Cloud (GCP) architecture
- Financial Services industry experience
