About the Position:
This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of Schwab's campus facilities. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair complex mechanical equipment, including generators, air handlers, cooling towers, chillers, boilers, VAVs, FPBs, UPS, and water treatment systems
- Manage the day-to-day operation of critical facility spaces and infrastructure, prioritizing employee safety and satisfaction
- Optimize BAS software configurations to achieve improved environmental comfort and mechanical performance
- Conduct regular inspections of building components, review engineering logs, and analyze data records to identify potential issues
- Coordinate work orders efficiently using the company-provided CMMS system
- Collaborate with vendors during planned maintenance or break-fix scenarios, providing expert guidance and support
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience and certifications
- Minimum 6 years of experience in facilities management, with a focus on critical facilities operations
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and navigate confined spaces
