Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join our procurement team. Responsibilities
- Conduct sourcing activities to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure the best possible terms.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Monitor market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate the timely delivery of goods.
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to manage inventory levels effectively.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations in all procurement processes.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance metrics.
- Work closely with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and provide solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies and supplier management practices.
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations is highly desirable.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes.
- Ability to analyze data related to pricing, quality, and supplier performance.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in using MRP systems and other procurement software tools.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
