We are seeking a skilled and professional Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical, documentation, and administrative tasks. Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical tasks such as documenting medical histories and preparing patients for examinations
- Assist healthcare providers with procedures, including outpatient surgeries, cosmetic provedures, wound care, suture removal, and medication administration
- Provide patient education on skin care, sun protection, procedures, medications
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using an electronic health record system
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Skills:
- Proficiency in patient service skills, including effective communication and active listening
- Familiarity with outpatient office protocols and procedures
- Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred, but in no way required.
- Previous experience working in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred
