Charleston Southern University invites applications for a faculty position (Assistant or Associate Professors) in the College of Education program beginning August 1, 2025. Charleston Southern seeks candidates who are professing Christians and committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. They should support the goals of a strong liberal arts education and be willing to explore the integration of faith and learning with candidates. Rank is commensurate with experience.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
- Doctorate in Education Leadership or closely related field (at least 18 graduate hours must be in Leadership and Research)
- Evidence of teaching, service, and scholarly productivity
- Quantitative and Statistical teaching experience
- 3-10 years of experience teaching in an academic setting on campus and/or online.
- Published articles and proven experience as an academic.
- Strong teaching and mentoring skills.
- Excellent presentation and written and verbal communication skills.
- A growth mindset and excellent networking abilities.
- Ability to work cooperatively with others and provide excellent service to candidates, staff, and the community.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching experience in higher education
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working on doctoral dissertations and research.
- Demonstrated experience teaching via different formats (e.g., Face-to-face, Hybrid, Online)
- Evidence of course creation in a Hybrid or Online environment
