What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue Manager position at Charlestowne Hotels?
The Corporate Revenue Manager is responsible for maximizing room revenue through the development and implementation of effective inventory management and pricing strategies for multiple hotel properties. Examples include establishing strategies designed to increase top-line revenue, support sales and operations teams with associated revenue management issues, and participate in annual budgeting. The Corporate Revenue Manager will create forecasts and conduct on-going competitor price/product analysis to ensure competitive rate positioning and product offerings at each hotel property. This position is based in the Charlestowne Hotels corporate office in Charleston, SC.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Maximize RevPAR by analyzing past trends and future demand forecast to set/adjust sales strategies designed to increase market share, RevPAR growth and optimize market mix
- Generate daily, weekly, monthly revenue management reports and facilitate weekly revenue strategy meetings with GMs
- Maintain historical data from all distribution channels, in all market segments
- Analyze and optimize distribution channels for maximum benefit of penetration
- Develop, implement, monitor and control rate strategies and develop action plans to counteract market changes
- Contribute to website content and maintenance of website content
- Manage property participation and production through 3rd Party Internet sites and other distribution channels
- Update and change restrictions, allotments and rates on a daily basis
- Analyze and identify trends and use this knowledge to implement revenue maximization strategies
- Monitor all distribution channels to ensure content accuracy, rate parity and pricing integrity
- Work closely with the e-commerce department to create eNewsletters, hotel packages, and other marketing related efforts
DESIRED SKILLS EXPERIENCE:
- Four year degree or equivalent experience
- Two years of revenue management experience
- Strong analytical, time management and oral/written communication skills
- Savvy computer skills with heavy emphasis on Microsoft Excel and in-depth understanding of tools-spreadsheets, statistical methods for analyzing data
- Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
