What are the responsibilities and job description for the Detailer/ Paint Prep Tech position at Charlies Auto Body Inc?
We are adding a motivated applicant to our collision center! A great opportunity to learn the car industry will room for upward growth.
The position will be mostly oriented on the detailing side of the collision repair process, getting customer vehicles cleaned and processed for delivery.
Also, our current paint prepper is moving up to be a full time painter and we will need to fill their position. You will be spending time in both departments learning the trades, working alongside our current detailer.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
· Documenting vehicles as they arrive & leave
· Performing interior & exterior cleaning
· Polishing imperfections in paint finishes
· Cleaning of facility as needed
· Breaking down of cardboard and other packaging material
· Transportation of customer vehicles between venders
· Sanding and cleaning of panels prior to painting
· Masking vehicle for the refinish process
· Applying primer and sealer to new and repaired panels
On the job training
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 – 5:00, depending on workload some overtime may be required.
1 hour unpaid lunch

Compensation depending on experience level
