What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stocking Associate position at Charlies County Market?
Job Summary:
To maintain pricing, stocking and rotation of merchandise in grocery area.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Assist in unloading and breaking down of merchandise.
2. Transport stock to store or shelf areas.
3. Open cartons and price items accurately and legibly.
4. Keep store shelves fully stocked according to tab allocation. Order merchandise according to procedure.
5. Assist in building store displays.
6. Ordering and maintaining inventory control.
7. Keep perishable merchandise rotated by coding all products and pull out-of-code merchandise.
8. Control level of damaged codes.
9. Properly present assigned section prior to leaving at the end of scheduled shift.
10. Observe policies and procedures established for the department.
11. Greet customers who come to our store and be observant, assist customer in finding groceries.
12. Maintain a neat personal appearance according to the company’s dress code policy.
13. Assist Liquor Dept. with barrels and large customer orders.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
1. Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, ordering and maintaining inventory and to insure proper rotation of merchandise.
2. Ability to unload, transport and place merchandise to specified area.
3. Ability to lift up to seventy pounds (70#’s) at least forty percent (40%) of the time.
4. Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.
Hours would be Full-time, 2pm-10pm with some weekend work.
