Position summary:
- Employee performs duties normally associated with LPN license in the CRF/ARF facility operated by a community behavioral health center.
- Services are provided to adults and children.
- Completes nursing examinations, assessments, implements plans, and evaluates patient status under the review of an RN.
- Provides nursing care; discusses medical changes with the patient; monitors vital signs, CIWA/COWS, administers medications and monitors for effectiveness, or signs of adverse reactions to medications.
- Provides medication and diagnosis-related information to patients, and answers questions as appropriate.
- Reviews patient medical charts and transcribes and/or prepares documents for doctor or APRN review and signature
- Maintains comprehensive and timely documentation including daily nursing notes.
- LPN provides work direction to technicians during shift.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Florida.
- Minimum two (2) years’ of experience, preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with mental health or substance use diagnoses, preferred. Knowledge of recovery is an asset.
- Ability to pass a level II Background clearance and drug test.
- Valid FL drivers’ license, insurance, and safe driving record.
- Possess excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills required to ensure accurate documentation.
- Must maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct, while adhering to agency policies and procedures; including HIPAA and 42-CFR confidentiality standards.
- Ability to use a computer, including an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in collaboration with other community partners.
- Ability to manage stressful situations and display appropriate work demeanor and boundaries.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to facilitate positive communication with patients, treatment team, family members, community representatives, and other stakeholders.
