6/7/8 Spring Musical - Director for Middle School Program
The Charlotte Central School is seeking a part time Director to work with the current Artistic Team on their next musical production.
The Director’s role includes rehearsing a chorus, soloists, dancers, and selecting and teaching the musical recordings.
Responsibilities include working directly with the Music Director and Choreographer from auditions in early February through the performances of the show tentatively scheduled for early June (June 7-8). They will be responsible for running any production meetings, rehearsing the chorus, soloists, dancers, and overall staging of the production.
Rehearsals are typically Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and sometimes Friday from 3-4:30 pm. Rehearsals will go until 5pm mid-April. The show is scheduled for early June, which includes evening and weekend performances. The Director will also be expected to attend production team meetings before auditions. Additionally, the Director will assist with communication to parents regarding volunteer opportunities for props, costumes and any other miscellaneous production needs.
This is an extracurricular stipend activity, category A.
