Long Term Substitute – 5-8 Reading Interventionist
Support staff position

Charlotte Central School is grounded in supportive relationships with attention to social-emotional needs and continuous academic growth. We are searching for individuals with training and/or experience to help support the academic goals for our students in 5-8th grade. This position includes supporting the classroom instruction, and working with small groups and individuals to support continuous learning with targeted instruction. The successful candidate will serve as part of a team of skilled interventionists and will receive supervision and direction from the classroom teachers, instructional coaches and the school’s instructional leaders.
The ideal candidate would have experience and expertise in the following areas:
- building student relationships while continuously progress monitoring to meet the needs of each student
- understanding the developmental progression of grade-level concepts
- working collaboratively as part of a team to support students
- understanding of data-informed instruction through the use of assessments and progress monitoring tools
- forming strong and positive relationships with students and colleagues
- providing support within the regular classroom with a focus on differentiation for students
- demonstrating flexibility, organization, initiative, dedication, growth mindset, and joy when working with students
Additional training is available to meet the programmatic needs of the teaching team and its students.
