What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Maintenance Technician III position at Charlotte Country Club?
Building Maintenance Technician Level III is an experienced technician with the skills to work independently as the primary technician on duty during large portions of their shift. Their responsibilities include troubleshooting, repair, and routine maintenance of commercial & residential HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment. They are also involved in troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of general building systems such as plumbing & minor electrical. At times, this technician assists/directs trade contractors working on site. We are looking for an Evening/Weekend Technician.
Essential Functions:
- Troubleshooting, repair, & routine maintenance of commercial & residential HVAC equipment
- Troubleshooting, repair, & routine maintenance of commercial kitchen cooking, food processing, & refrigeration equipment
- Troubleshooting, repair, & replacement of building system components including plumbing, minor electrical, and minor structural.
- Supervising the activity of trade contractors as needed
- Using hand tools, power tools, test equipment, refrigerant tools, ladders, lifts, and utility vehicles with skill, safety, & care
- Keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Occasionally assisting co-workers as needed with miscellaneous repairs, moving furniture, setting up for events, etc. (minor role for this position)
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in commercial HVAC troubleshooting & repair
- Minimum 5 years combined experience in general mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing troubleshooting & repair
- Aptitude & willingness to increase knowledge & skills in all areas of work
- Able to receive and follow instructions in a respectful and professional manner
- Able to work well independently and with others
- Able to assist or be assisted by teammates to complete work assignments
- Professionalism, flexibility, cooperation, self-motivation, friendliness, helpfulness, clear communication, and consistent work ethic.
- Organized, detail oriented, and task motivated
Education:
- High School Education or GED equivalent required. Specific vocational training is beneficial.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, climb, and lift frequently.
- Must be able climb ladders and walk on both flat & sloped roof surfaces with confidence
- Must be able to handle exposure to heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, dirt, and grease.
Hours/Schedule:
Full-time position. Typical schedule is negotiable. Can be 10-hour shifts/4 days per week or 8-hour shifts/5 days a week, but must include Friday & Saturday evenings up to 8pm. We are looking for an Evening/Weekend Technician.
