Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience, with demonstrated proficiency in instructional strategies and curriculum development.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations governing curriculum
  • Excellent communication skills: facilitation, collaboration, and listening; time management and organizational skills, flexibility, synthesizing and distribution of information; technology knowledge and skills
  • Valid Florida Teacher Certification in an applicable subject area or grade level.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Education or related field.
  • Prior experience in curriculum leadership or a similar role within the district.
  • Additional certifications or endorsements relevant to specific subject areas.
  • Experience in Charlotte County

Performance Responsibilities:

 

  1. Models and promotes effective teaching practices and strategies for curriculum implementation across various subjects.
  2. Assists teachers in interpreting and utilizing curriculum frameworks and standards to improve instructional practices.
  3. Develops and facilitates professional learning sessions focused on curriculum development and instructional strategies.
  4. Collaborates with district leaders to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of curriculum and instruction programs.
  5. Maintains and facilitates the development of Curriculum Maps, Pacing Guides, and assessments.
  6. Serves as a liaison between the district and external educational bodies regarding curriculum issues and updates.
  7. Coordinates and participates in professional learning, workshops, and conferences, promoting continuous learning and adherence to best practices.
  8. Supports teachers in the use of data to inform instruction and improve student learning outcomes.
  9. Serves as lead learner for the district.
  10. Provides coaching for district initiatives.
  11. Ensures all instructional materials and resources are aligned with current standards and district goals.
  12. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
