Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience, with demonstrated proficiency in instructional strategies and curriculum development.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations governing curriculum
- Excellent communication skills: facilitation, collaboration, and listening; time management and organizational skills, flexibility, synthesizing and distribution of information; technology knowledge and skills
- Valid Florida Teacher Certification in an applicable subject area or grade level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Education or related field.
- Prior experience in curriculum leadership or a similar role within the district.
- Additional certifications or endorsements relevant to specific subject areas.
- Experience in Charlotte County

Performance Responsibilities:
- Models and promotes effective teaching practices and strategies for curriculum implementation across various subjects.
- Assists teachers in interpreting and utilizing curriculum frameworks and standards to improve instructional practices.
- Develops and facilitates professional learning sessions focused on curriculum development and instructional strategies.
- Collaborates with district leaders to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of curriculum and instruction programs.
- Maintains and facilitates the development of Curriculum Maps, Pacing Guides, and assessments.
- Serves as a liaison between the district and external educational bodies regarding curriculum issues and updates.
- Coordinates and participates in professional learning, workshops, and conferences, promoting continuous learning and adherence to best practices.
- Supports teachers in the use of data to inform instruction and improve student learning outcomes.
- Serves as lead learner for the district.
- Provides coaching for district initiatives.
- Ensures all instructional materials and resources are aligned with current standards and district goals.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
