Overview
We’re seeking an Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide athletic training services in clinical and high school settings in accordance with NATA guidelines and practices. This position will primarily support High School and community coverage needs in the Northwest Region of CT.
Essential functions of this position include application of principles, methods, and procedures of evaluation and treatment of athletic injuries, preconditioning, conditioning, and reconditioning of the athlete through the use of appropriate preventive and supportive devices, temporary splinting and bracing, physical modalities of heat, cold, massage, water, electrical stimulation, Ultrasound, exercise and exercise equipment upon the referral or under the general direction of licensed physician. Athletic training includes instruction to coaches, athlete, parents, medical personnel, and communities in the area of care and prevention of athletic injuries.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training (AT, ATC).
Current NATA Certification.
Current First Aid Certification.
Current CPR Certification.
Current state ATC license.
1 year experience preferred.
High School ATC experience preferred.
