Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is a 122-bed, general acute care community hospital located in Torrington, Connecticut, that serves as a regional health care resource for the 100,000 residents of Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut. CHH offers personalized attention from an expert team of caregivers and physicians that utilize advanced technology and clinical partnerships in a convenient, safe and comfortable patient environment.
Responsible for performing a variety of diverse functions related to the scheduling of clinical diagnostic testing, including but not limited to; the update and maintenance of computerized and manual systems used in the Clinical Diagnostics Department, maintenance of the physician order form system, verification of all necessary pre-authorizations, referrals and insurance, patient communication and order processing and assisting patient with any questions they may have regarding their procedure(s) and providing a pleasant environment for patients, families and visitors. The incumbent must be responsible and maintain confidentiality of information at all times. The incumbent must demonstrate confidence in their knowledge and abilities.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Two or more years experience in medical customer service
- Strong command of medical terminology
- High level of proficiency in computer applications
