Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a commitment to fostering their development in a supportive and engaging environment. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with lead teachers to implement lesson plans, support classroom management, and ensure that each child receives the individual attention they need to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood education and development.
- Support the lead teacher in managing classroom dynamics, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
- Engage with children in various activities, including literacy education, arts and crafts, and outdoor play.
- Provide care for toddlers, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met throughout the day.
- Monitor children's progress and behavior, providing feedback to parents and teachers as needed.
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom space conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with other staff members to support children with special education needs or developmental challenges.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or preschool settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices is highly desirable.
- Experience working with children of varying ages, particularly in toddler care or special education environments.
- Knowledge of childhood development milestones and literacy education techniques is beneficial.
- A background in private school settings can be an advantage but is not required.
