What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Nutrition Assistant position at Charlotte Lab School?
Responsibilities
The Charlotte Lab School School Nutrition Assistant will have responsibilities in support of Lab’s operations vision which may include:
- Coordinate with the Director of Operations to develop and facilitate:;
- School nutrition program execution, including:
- Meal Service Preparation
- Assists in preparation and service of lunch.
- Receives and log caterer delivery from vendor.
- Ensures that all required logs and documentation is completed and in compliance with the School Nutrition Division.
- Prepares grade level carts by organizing all meal components and signage. and ensures all required documentation (menus, etc) is loaded on the cart for servers.
- Meal Service
- Serves food to students and accounts for all meals using Titan POS (Point-of-sale) system.
- Service Wrap-up
- Count and log remaining meals.
- Clean and organize the nutrition office as needed.
- Completes required School Nutrition training as needed.
- Maintains standards of food quality and food safety.
- Meal Service Preparation
- School nutrition program execution, including:
Qualifications
Candidate Should:
- Able to fulfill the responsibilities listed above;
- High School diploma/GED
- Must be at least 18 years old

Compensation
$10-$15/hour, based on experience. This role is part-time and temporary, typically fewer than 20 hours/week. This role does not qualify for benefits.
