Join Charlotte Latin as a Part-Time Collaborative Pianist!
Charlotte Latin is seeking a skilled and flexible part-time collaborative Pianist to support our dynamic music program. In this role, you will work closely with students in grades 5-12, accompanying them in rehearsals, performances, and other musical activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Accompany all choir ensembles, grades 5-12
- Conduct sectional rehearsals
- Accompany band and strings program as needed
- Accompany private instrumental and vocal students as needed
- Option to teach piano lessons
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in music is required; Bachelor's degree in music with piano concentration preferred
- Master's degree in music preferred
- Ability to teach Music Theory preferred
- Experience teaching in an independent K-12 school preferred
Skills:
- Strong collaborative piano skills with experience accompanying vocalists and instrumentalists
- Ability to adapt to a rotating schedule between 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Passion for working with young musicians and fostering a positive learning environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- The ability to build a strong rapport with colleagues and serve as a collaborative team player
- Adherence to the highest level of professionalism

Working Conditions and Environment
- Intermittently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
- Continuously see, sit, balance, grasp, and have repetitive use of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers; and some fine finger dexterity.
- Frequently talk and hear.
- Intermittently stand, stoop, bend, twist, crouch, kneel, crawl, walk, climb stairs, step stools and ladders, operate foot and hand controls, squeeze, and reach above shoulders.
- Exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, flammables, grease, dirt, stacked materials, electrical equipment, machinery, low to medium noise levels, and moderate indoor heat and cold temperatures.
- Long or odd hours, as needed.
