Description
Charlotte Latin School is seeking a creative, flexible, and energetic teacher to join our Upper School Mathematics faculty full-time in the 2025-2026 academic year. This position is well suited for motivated professionals who appreciate the freedom to teach unique math courses at the Advanced Placement, honors, standard, and elective levels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach 4-5 sections of Mathematics
- Partner with colleagues to create and update course curriculum
- Assess students’ performance in a timely and consistent manner
- Within course teams, collaborate with colleagues toward consistency in grading practices
- Provide 1:1 support to students during office hours, before and after school
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current within the field
- Additional responsibilities may include sponsoring extra-curricular activities, advising, and/or coaching.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- None
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics/Mathematics Education is required; master's or doctoral degrees are highly preferred.
- Experience in an Independent School is preferred

Working Conditions and Environment
- Intermittently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.

- Intermittently stand, stoop, bend, twist, crouch, kneel, crawl, walk, climb stairs, step stools and ladders, operate foot and hand controls, squeeze, and reach above shoulders.
- Exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, flammables, grease, dirt, stacked materials, electrical equipment, machinery, low to medium noise levels, and moderate indoor temperatures of heat and cold.
