Assistant Supervisor, Maintenance (Roofing)

Summary: Under general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor I, the Assistant Supervisor will assist with the supervision of an assigned maintenance trade area (carpentry, paint, grounds). The position assists with directing the day to day activities of the trade to include planning and directing the work of multiple maintenance crew chiefs; providing technical expertise and direction on trade issues; implementing job standards; assisting with the bid process for contracted work; makes recommendations on hiring, training, disciplinary issues and performance evaluations. The position should typically be assigned to assist a trade area with five or more maintenance crew chiefs.
