Summary: The school-based Facilitator is a teacher leader who helps foster the development and growth of professional learning communities and facilitates job-embedded professional learning with colleagues around content and pedagogy. This position provides vision and leadership for teacher growth by working in close collaboration with the principal, school leadership, central services, and school based staff. The facilitator supports the building of staff capacity to meet the goals outlined in the district's strategic plan and school improvement plans, to inspire 21 st century learning tools and methods.

Essential Duties
- Facilitates professional learning opportunities to support school improvement.
- Leads the modification and improvement of teaching methods in a culturally responsive school.
- Engages teachers to develop a culture that fosters professional learning communities and promotes all staff as learners acquiring and building a repertoire of skills to meet the needs of every student.
- Supports differentiation of instruction by providing learning strategies, tools, and resources in various formats to meet all learners' needs.
- Models effective use of data to improve instruction.
- Facilitates the integration of technology as best practice for teachers.
- Models best practice in instruction.
Minimum
- Bachelor's degree in educational or a related field
- Three years of successful teaching or related school based experience including at least one year of teacher leadership experience
- Master's degree in Education or related field
- Five years of successful teaching experience or related school based experience including at least one year of teacher leadership experience
