General Definition of Work
The workers' compensation/ADA administrator, under moderate supervision, performs complex work with limited decision-making discretion administering the workers' compensation and workplace accommodations/ADA programs. Employee performs administrative/support work to carry out Board of Education policies and procedures related to workers' compensation and workplace accommodations under the direction of the Workers' Compensation/ADA Supervisor.

Place of Work
The normal place of work is on the premises used by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Charlotte- Mecklenburg Schools reserves the right to require you to work at such other place(s) as it may reasonably require from time to time.
Essential Functions
- Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures
- Ensure timely processing of workers' compensation claims
- Evaluate accident reports to determine accuracy and fidelity of investigation
- Provide WC/ADA training and guidance to supervisors
- Maintain up-to-date WC/ADA material in and on multiple platforms for employees
- Provide support and guidance to individuals with disabilities and employers regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Conduct disability eligibility analyses, approve reasonable accommodations, and facilitate stay-at-work and return-to-work processes
- Perform intake interviews to gain a foundational understanding of individual needs and evaluate information from medical and/or psychological professionals to determine eligibility
- Ensure that workers' compensation and FMLA run concurrently as needed/required
- Engage in interactive process to determine reasonable accommodations needed/required
- Maintain a variety of insurance records including carrier contracts, and employee records for reference and audits
- Collaborate and resolve workers' compensation concerns along with reporting and reconciliation problems
- Assist employees with claims; complete necessary forms and monitor status
- Complete local, state, or federal surveys and reports accurately and promptly
- Ensure that all Human Resources systems are fair, equitable, and adhere to state, federal, and local laws, and school board policies
- Participate in professional development workshops and leadership training
- Create an inclusive environment with positive communication/public relations
- Perform related work as assigned or required
