U.S. Pipe and Foundry is seeking a Quality Assurance Intern. As a Quality Assurance Intern, you will assist the Quality Manager in multiple facets of Quality scope.
Essential Functions
- Standard work creation.
- ROI (Report of Investigation) processing.
- Tracking and Maintenance of process gauges.
- Fulfillment of various required and in-process testing.
- Process audits.
- Equipment operation and breakdown repair.
- A safety-first mentality.
- Enrolled in 2- or 4-year program seeking degree in industry related fields. This may include Engineering, Trades, Business, etc.
- Must be able to work 8-10-hour days.
- Must be capable of lifting 40 lbs.
- Fit to be capable of performing tasks during extended periods of standing, sitting, crouching, and bending
- Must have experience using MS Office programs.
- Eager to learn manufacturing and quality related processes.
- A desire to develop necessary traits in areas such as interpersonal skills, leadership, attention to detail, problem solving, mechanical aptitude, autonomy, being a self-starter, initiative, etc.
- A desire to develop skillsets in areas such understanding specifications, process control, standard work, understanding metrics, etc.
