Summary:
Responsible for efficiently sorting incoming donations, processing sales transactions, and merchandising inventory.
Essential Duties and Functions:
· Sort, price and stock merchandise/donations.
· Provide prompt, courteous and excellent service to all customers, donors, colleagues, and volunteers.
· Operate cash register in completing sales transactions.
· Maintain store cleanliness on an ongoing basis.
· Cultivate positive customer relations through professional and courteous actions and works cooperatively with all customers, employees, volunteers and vendors.
· Work efficiently and effectively in a team environment.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
· Must be able to lift and transport materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
· Must have a high level of manual dexterity enabling grasping, folding, hanging clothes, and organizing items for sale.
· Must be able to frequently bend, kneel, reach, and squat.
· Must be able to stand for significant periods of time.
· Must be available to work weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Two or more years in retail/customer service preferred.
· Experience using POS systems, processing sales transaction, and balancing sales reports preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.60 per hour
