Summary of Responsibilities
The Construction Project Manager/Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to ensure quality standards and homeowner satisfaction goals are met, within or below budget and on schedule on assigned projects. Project Manager is to schedule and coordinate all phases from after the contract is signed through completion including punch list and warranty items. As the Project Manager, you are responsible for safe and efficient execution of projects through effective management of trade partners, suppliers and company procedures, personnel and equipment. Essential Functions
- Review plans and specifications to determine scope of work for remodeling, home addition, and new home projects
- Field measure, understand, interpret and approve as necessary assembly drawings, details, schematics and plans
- Maintain the selections and specification pages to ensure all parties have the latest instructions
- Prepare, manage and present weekly a written schedule of crews, subcontractors and all materials to complete each project following the critical path schedule from contract signing to completion and warranty
- Conduct project site inspection daily for general conditions, progress and safety
- Establish, evaluate and management of trade partner and vendor relations
- Provide value engineering assessment, research, and recommend options for alternative design solutions
- Maintain an excellent company image, demonstrate integrity, and maintain positive customer, employee, and public relations
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in construction management or business-related field, preferred
- 5 years’ experience in residential construction management
- Firm understanding of residential construction and sequencing
- Ability to read and understand construction documentation and blueprints
- Highly detail orientated and strong mathematical skills
- Ability to perform accurate quantity take-offs
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Experience with estimating software and adaptability to technology/software changes within the company
