Event Operations Lead Responsibilities

  • Supervise the event serving team at all stages of a function from set-up to breakdown
  • Assist in setting up for events, including moving furniture, setting up buffets/food stations and displays, carrying trays, serving guests, and break down after event’s conclusion
  • Reset event spaces in accordance with the Event Managers specifications to ensure the readiness of the room for other functions
  • Attend BEO and/or pre-shift meetings to learn function specifics, including bar specs and guest expectations
  • Performs administrative functions and assists with special projects as needed
  • Work with the Event Manager/Event Chef to confirm quantities of food items and timing of food leaving the kitchen.
  • Consistently check all china, glassware, silverware, and linen.

Event Operations Lead Other Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • 1 year supervisor/lead experience
  • 2 years minimum of food and beverage experience
  • Great wine and food knowledge
  • Able to work well unsupervised

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently walking and standing, possibly extended distances, while carrying trays
  • Ability to climb stairs when necessary
  • Frequently lift/carry up to 25 lbs
  • Occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
  • Ability to work long hours, which can become strenuous on the body
