Description
Professors Arezoo Ardekani and Severin T. Schneebeli at Purdue University are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral candidate to work on an exciting joint project focused on the machine-learning guided design of advanced biologic therapies. The position will be joint between the Ardekani and Schneebeli laboratories in the Departments of Industrial & Molecular Pharmaceutics and Mechanical Engineering. The Ardekani and Schneebeli research groups are both focused on advancing the formulation and delivery of biologics, including innovative new drug modalities such as peptide, protein, and RNA drugs, using combined experimental and computational techniques. In this joint project, these lines of research will be further advanced by integrating machine learning into the discovery / development pipeline. How to Apply
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Computational Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. Desirable skills include a good understanding of molecular structures and force field methods, molecular dynamics simulations, basic programming skills, a solid doctoral publication record, good verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work effectively in a teamwork environment with collaborators from different disciplines. Prior experience with machine learning or Python programming will be a plus. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
