This Manufacturing/Process Engineer is responsible for all aspects of manufacturing Compressor Products International’s (CPI’s) molded products from blending & compression molding to machining and assembling of finished product. This critical role is responsible for ensuring our molded products meet the various quality, design, & safety standards for their intended applications. The individual will lead problem-solving efforts and support the development of a problem-solving culture including the utilization of Lean methodologies. This role will include a mix of product lines for new and existing products. Travel < 10%, within the U.S. Role is primarily on-site, with some remote work possible.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
- Oversee the development and maintenance of process improvement planning, design, and implementation including validation of proposed process changes.
- Use data to resolve complicated process problems systematically via root cause analysis and the implementation of effective solutions.
- Develop& document new tooling and processes that promote safe working practices and meet business requirements.
- Prepare and review project proposals and technical reports for improvement projects from internal and external sources.
- Create/Update BoMs, Engineering Drawings, Work Instructions & other engineering-related documentation as required.
- Re-Engineer existing processes using Lean principles to eliminate waste and reduce lead times.
- Assist in the implementation of capital investment and continuous improvement projects that provide customer value.
- Participate in cross functional groups to implement new products and processes.
- Minimum requirement of BS in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.

Your Professional Experience Should Be…
- 3 years of engineering experience with the manufacturing of fluoropolymer-based molded products in a manufacturing environment.
- A strong mechanical aptitude. A ‘hands-on’ person with a passion for process improvement.
- Working knowledge of 3D modeling software required,
- Experience working with ERP software; I.e., setting up Bills of Material and Routes/Methods.
- The candidate should possess strong organizational and communication skills.
- A positive ‘Safety First’ attitude with the ability to interact effectively and partner with people at all levels; extremely skilled at developing and working with and through teams; a collaborative hands-on team player, results driven and motivated
- Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies; Lean/Six-Sigma certification preferred.
- SolidWorks proficiency.
- Proficient with various inspection techniques (automated & manual), tooling, and methodologies.
- 7 years of experience in the manufacturing of fluoropolymer-based molded and machined products.
- The ideal candidate will have considerable experience in the optimization of compression molding processes.
