Ensuring Chart’s Success
Chart’s Painters are critical to preparing and painting cryogenic units using different preparation materials and spraying equipment as one of the final steps in the manufacturing process.
Chart offers a pay differential for the 2nd shift.
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be
- Mix paint to designated specifications
- Prep units prior to painting using a blasting booth, spray paint application and other hand preparation methods
- Perform necessary touchups when needed
- Perform set up and maintenance of booth and paint sprayer
- Clean paint spraying equipment daily
- Adhere to painting specifications and printed work instruction manuals
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager
Your Education Should Be
High school diploma or GED
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require
- Exposure to metal cutting, welding odors, welding flash and incidental acceptable limits of x-ray radiation.
- Possible exposure to chemical odors and temperature extremes.
- Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and occasional crawling.
- Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting and handling of materials.
- Occasional climbing and working at elevated positions
- Specific vision abilities required by this role includes close vision.
Your Professional Experience Should Be
- Minimum 1 year of industrial paint experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience with paint repairs and touchup
- Previous experience repairing paint equipment
- This position may require overtime, including weekends, as dictated by business needs
