What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Receiving Clerk position at Chart Industries?
What Will You Do?
- Product Shipment – Responsible for BOL including MRP system updates (currently E1) to ensure accurate and timely shipping of products
- Receiving – Receives raw materials per Purchase Order located in E1 (Chart’s MRP); Handles complex receipts and debits on both purchase orders and sales orders
- Responsible for Bills of Lading
- Generates freight quotes for shipment
- Serves as main point of contact to all vendors and shippers
- Prepares orders for shipment and schedules all shipments with vendors and shipping companies
- Accepts and signs for deliveries
- Assists in unloading shipments from delivery trucks
- Checks shipping invoice to ensure all items are accounted for
- Assists with inventory level maintenance and inventory counts, as needed
- Operates forklift and other warehouse equipment to complete tasks adhering to company safety practices
- Maintains a clean work area and practices general housekeeping standards
- Performs all tasks to ISO standards and requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and talk or hear; stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb ladder. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to stand and / or walk for up to 8-10 hours a day. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
