Purpose Statement:
Machine Operator 1 is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery including printers, laminators, collators, press machine, etc. They must have a general understanding of the machines they work with. Machine Operators take care of all machine-specific functions such as configuring the equipment, loading, and operating the machines, and optimizing the machine capability. They should be a self-starter and should be willing to undergo training, if need be, to understand the operations of new equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for producing a quality product that meets all internal and customer regulations.
- Effectively communicates as required with team members and team Lead.
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery.
- Operate tools to aid in the manufacturing process.
- Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as detected.
- Work with others to ensure that equipment is in proper working order.
- Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting work orders.
- Ensuring that all products are in compliance with QA standards.
- Consistently meet minimum required production, accuracy or quality standards for the work performed.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.
Experience & Qualifications
Required
- Ability to speak and read English.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers.
- Ability to perform tasks that are repetitive.
- Must be able to read instructions from an order invoice.
- Excellent math skills, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics.
- Must be deadline oriented and have the ability to prioritize work.

- Must be able to focus in a high activity environment.
- Must be able to tolerate working in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to accurately follow specific instructions for multiple detailed assembly processes.
- Must be available to work overtime as needed.
- Must be able to work flexible hours depending on business demands.
Preferred
- 6 months minimum experience operating manufacturing machines.
- Experience in manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
- Bilingual English - Spanish
- Analytical Skills.
- Critical thinking.
Education
- High School Diploma, GED. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
