Job Description
The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of social work practice, a master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, or psychology from an accredited program. They will also possess RI Board Certification in Alcohol and Drug Professions and be licensed as a Masters Prepared or LCSW/LICSW/LMHC/LCDP.
A minimum of one to two years of clinical work in acute care settings is recommended. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of psychiatric/medical social work or a related clinical field and be able to effectively use clinical and therapeutic skills.
The selected candidate will be required to facilitate discharge planning, maintain patient charts accurately, and communicate with collateral resources. They will also be expected to work cooperatively with peers and other disciplines, utilizing sound interpersonal skills when interacting with patients.
