Charter Care Health Partners Security Officer, Lead Providence, Rhode Island
Summary : Provides direction and support for security officers to ensure all duties are performed according to established policies and procedures of the facility. Assists the leadership team by responding to all security incidents / emergencies that occur on assigned shift. Performs all duties of the Security Officer.

Education : Associates degree in Law Enforcement, or the equivalent experience preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Licensure : Must have valid RI license to operate a motor vehicle.
Experience : One year experience in security / police force, or two years military experience preferred.
Working Conditions : Must possess sound dexterity and visual acuity. Requires mental alertness, stamina to work in a fast-paced environment and in emergency situations. Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and reach without restrictions. Ability to lift between 25 and 50 pounds using good body mechanics. Must be able to push heavy equipment, gurneys, and wheelchairs. May be exposed to all patient care elements within the hospital setting. Risk of needle punctures. Must meet annual safety training requirements per hospital policy. Some risk of electrical, mechanical, and chemical hazards. Exposure to ionizing radiation is possible in the performance of radiographic tests. Exposure is strictly monitored following established guidelines. Regular staff is required to work the hours for which hired including weekends and holiday coverage if this is part of the operations of the department. Per Diem staff is required to work 4 shifts per month as the needs of the department dictate. Must have the ability to sit, walk, run, and stand. May be on feet for long periods of time. May be exposed to physical contact with patients. Must be able to hold patients during interventions and apply restraints. May be assigned automobile duty. Exposed to all areas in hospital / nursing home, including patient care elements within the hospital / nursing home setting. Must meet all safety training requirements associated with the facility.
