Job Summary :
Charter & Co, in partnership with Forge Virtual Studios, is seeking an innovative and visionary Creative Director to lead the creative vision and execution of all video content, from high-level concept development to final delivery. This influential role will shape and elevate the creative direction of both Charter & Co and Forge Virtual Studios, ensuring all video content is strategically impactful, visually captivating, and fully aligned with client objectives.
As a key member of a dynamic and growing team, the Creative Director will collaborate closely with the CEO, COO, and Sales Account Manager, playing a crucial role in establishing a cohesive creative vision while driving high standards of creativity and execution. This role also requires expertise in virtual production, leveraging state-of-the-art technology at Forge Virtual Studios to create immersive and innovative video experiences.
Key Responsibilities :
Creative Strategy and Vision
- Develop and implement creative strategies that align with Charter & Co's brand identities and business objectives, ensuring consistency across all video content.
- Drive the ideation process, creating innovative and strategically sound concepts that resonate with target audiences and exceed client expectations.
- Ensure all creative work maintains a high standard of storytelling, visual impact, and strategic relevance.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to refine creative direction and present ideas clearly and compellingly.
Virtual Production Leadership at Forge Virtual Studios
Lead creative direction within the virtual production space, utilizing cutting-edge technology to craft immersive and interactive video content.Guide clients through the virtual production process, ensuring their creative vision is fully realized from concept to execution.Oversee the integration of virtual environments, real-time graphics, and digital sets, ensuring visually stunning and cohesive productions.Collaborate with virtual production technicians, motion capture specialists, Unreal Engine artists, and other contributors to push the boundaries of storytelling.Innovate with emerging virtual production technologies to enhance audience engagement.Ensure efficient workflow and creative consistency by maintaining seamless communication between creative, technical, and client service teams.Develop pre-visualizations in Scene Forge to accurately visualize and construct virtual environments.Video Production Leadership
Oversee all stages of video production, from pre-production planning to post-production delivery, ensuring projects are on time, within budget, and meet client expectations.Lead 1099 creative teams, including writers, editors, cinematographers, and other key contributors, fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.Provide strategic creative direction, actionable feedback, and decisive leadership throughout the production lifecycle.Direct all productions, ensuring the successful execution of creative vision while maintaining the highest standards of quality and impact.Production Planning and Execution
Build detailed shot lists to strategically capture all creative and narrative objectives.Direct all aspects of production on set, ensuring the successful execution of shot lists with the highest standards of creativity and quality.Develop comprehensive gear lists tailored to each project’s creative needs and oversee the packing, loading, and unloading of gear for shoots.Manage on-set logistics, including setup, breakdown, and overall workflow, to maintain a streamlined and productive shooting environment.Make decisive creative adjustments on set to adapt to real-time challenges while preserving the integrity of the creative vision.Ensure all safety protocols and industry best practices are followed throughout the production process.Team Development and Leadership
Lead and inspire 1099 contractors and freelancers, fostering a culture of creative excellence, accountability, and continuous growth.Build strong working relationships with all creative team members to ensure consistent creative output, brand alignment, and seamless collaboration.Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across all teams, working closely with the CEO, COO, and Sales Account Manager.Client Collaboration and Communication
Engage directly with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and feedback.Present creative concepts, storyboards, and final deliverables, clearly communicating the strategic and creative rationale behind each project.Maintain strong client relationships to drive satisfaction, retention, and referrals, working closely with the CEO to nurture long-term partnerships.Quality Assurance and Creative Excellence
Establish and maintain high creative standards for all video content, ensuring brand consistency and visual appeal.Review and approve all creative work, ensuring quality control, strategic alignment, and adherence to high creative standards.Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to keep creative approaches fresh and innovative.Requirements :
Proven experience as a Creative Director or in a similar leadership role in video production or content creation, with specific experience in virtual production preferred.A strong portfolio demonstrating strategic storytelling, visual impact, and innovative use of virtual production technologies.Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience working with 1099 contractors and freelancers.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire and persuade clients and stakeholders.Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple projects and timelines effectively.Proficiency in industry-standard creative tools and virtual production software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Unreal Engine or similar).Experience in pre-visualization tools is a plus.Bachelor’s degree in Film, Art, Design, Marketing, or a related field preferred.What We Offer :
