Job Title: Customer Engineer
Duration: 6 months contract
Location: Austin, MN
The company manufactures, services, and maintains ATMs. As a Field Service Technician, you will represent the brand, troubleshoot, service, and maintain ATMs.
- You will be trained to repair ATMs, even with little or no prior relevant work experience.
- You will apply knowledge of routine work area procedures, complete standardized activities, and resolve task-related problems in straightforward situations.
Some tasks that our field service technicians do each day include:
- Performing minor maintenance, repairs, and component replacement at the module level.
- Maintaining parts inventory and related records.
- Providing status reports throughout the service repair.
- Diagnosing problems based on the information provided in the call and through the error logs on the ATM.
- Being responsible for ownership of customer issues until resolution according to SLA agreements.
- Practicing security and safety procedures when working with ATMs and within financial institutions.
- Completing specific training and certifications.
- Reporting calls and activity accurately and promptly, as well as other reporting as required.
The Field Service Technician position may require the following:
- Bending, squatting, walking, standing, and sitting for prolonged periods.
- Prolonged travel based on your service area.
- Carrying and lifting a toolkit or parts of varying weights (1-50 lbs).
- Working on rotating shifts, nights, and weekends.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 0-1 years of related experience.
- Reliable transportation.
- A smartphone to receive work orders and access support documentation.
Required Availability, Experience, and Skillset:
- Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, overtime, flex shifts, and on-call.
- High personal integrity and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Basic electrical and mechanical aptitude, skillset, and knowledge.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to pick up new skills quickly.
