About the role:
The Facilities Technician performs a variety of custodial and cleaning duties in accordance with ISO 13485 Quality Standards and FDA GMP Part 820 for production of medical components. The primary function of the role is to clean, disinfect, and maintain the cleanliness of Charter Medical’s ISO 7/8 Cleanrooms. In addition, the incumbent will also clean and maintain the office areas, conference rooms, warehouse areas, and other common areas accordingly.
2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00 pm-11:00 pm
What you will do:
- Ensures the cleaning of the Clean Rooms 1A, 1B, 2, and all gowning/auxiliary rooms according to work instructions.
- Follows Good Document Practices (GDP) when filling out Cleaning Records. Ensures all assigned tasks are completed and documented.
- Follows the instruction of lead technician in assignment of areas and tasks.
- Ensures gowning rooms are stocked with supplies; stocks jumpsuits, hoods, and shoe covers in designated bins.
- Cleans, sweeps and mops the warehouse areas, including stairs, and wiping down hand railings.
- Performs daily cleaning of offices/conferences rooms/cubical areas, taking out trash, vacuuming floors, and wiping surfaces.
- Cleans windows, glass partitions, and mirrors throughout the facility.
- Removes standing water in water treatment areas.
- Ensures hand sanitizer stations are continuously filled.
- Maintains condition of yellow guards and cleans around beams.
- Cleans and services restrooms with mops and disinfectants.
- Stocks restrooms with supplies, toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and air fresheners.
- Cleans and maintains breakroom daily including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing all surfaces.
- Ensures breakroom is stocked with supplies.
- Sweeps outdoor employee entrances areas, empties outdoor trash bins, and cleans outdoor tables/chairs.
- Empties outdoor smoking receptacles.
- Operates the baler machine to crush and bale cardboard if necessary.
- Operates warehouse ride-on floor scrubber.
- Performs preventative cleaning maintenance as assigned.
- Available for clean room disaster recovery if needed.
- Follows internal safety procedures.
- Assists with training new employees on cleaning procedures.
Who you are:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
- Ability to measure and mix chemicals according to specifications.
- Must be able to work extended hours when required.
