This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in the office.What we offer - Our hardworking team deserves benefits that work for them : Total Rewards : Significant earning potential in year 1Progressive pay with skills developmentAdditional earnings through employee ownership programBenefits day 1Paid parental leaveTuition reimbursement401k with 5% company match at 90 days of employmentVacation upon day of hirePeople & Culture : Sustainability leaderInnovative & dynamic environmentSafety & quality drivenPurpose-driven & Values-basedCommunity partnersEarth stewardshipAs a Corporate Counsel your responsibilities will be : Provide sound legal counsel in areas specific to contract negotiation, employee relations, external communications, intellectual property and some regulatory related issuesCurate and review legal documentation that protect and support the company's interests while adhering to corporate compliance lawsWork closely with the Human Resources team on issues related to employee performance, workplace concerns, ethics and compliance issues and all other welfare related programsReview, update and oversee the company policies on legal affairs as the company attorneyIn conjunction with the V.P. and General Counsel, guide the management team and stakeholders on legal directions of the CompanyUndertake and perform in-depth legal research for partnerships, mergers, acquisitions and other transactionsStay abreast of changes in the external marketplace that could have an impact on issues related to the Company's interest, develop a point of view and proactively adviseA strong Corporate Counsel will possess : Bachelor's degree and Juris DoctorActive member of the Illinois State Bar Association5 years of corporate law experience with focus on contracts, employee relations and knowledge of IP and / or regulatory lawComprehensive understanding of corporate lawStrong analytical and negotiation skillsAbility to influence across all levels of the organizationExceptional communication skills with the ability to hear multiple points of view and willingness to act in a decisive mannerSafety at CNG : Ensure that safety and health concerns are given primary consideration in all activities.
