Production Planning, Scheduling and Execution:
- Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand
- Ensure efficient utilization of resources to achieve production targets
- Drive operational efficiency through data-driven decision making and performance metrics
- Manage facility operating budget and cost control initiatives
- Lead facility-level Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives
- Implement and sustain 5S methodology across all production areas
- Develop and monitor KPIs for productivity improvements and waste reduction
- Coach supervisors and team leads on problem-solving methodologies
- Manage employee suggestion programs and improvement initiatives
- Coordinate cross-functional improvement teams
- Ensure proper documentation and standardization of improvement activities
- Ensure a safe working environment through the implementation of safety protocols
- Comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including compliance with AIB and BRC Standards and Standard Operating Procedures
- Champion a zero-incident safety culture through visible leadership
- Conduct regular safety walks and hazard assessments
- Drive incident investigation and corrective action implementation
- Monitor and act on leading and lagging safety indicators
- Build, develop, and lead high-performing manufacturing teams
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning
- Model and reinforce company values through daily actions
- Maintain transparent communication across all shifts
- Implement recognition programs for outstanding performance
- Lead team-building activities and celebrate successes
- Ensure fair and consistent application of policies
- Identify and mentor high-potential employees
- Partner effectively with Technical, Sales, Quality, and Finance teams
- Coordinate with supply chain partners on inventory management
- Engage with maintenance teams on equipment reliability programs
- Partner with HR on workforce development initiatives
- Collaborate with EHS team on compliance and safety programs
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or equivalent manufacturing experience, or related technical field.
- 5 years of manufacturing, plant leadership experience preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated track record of implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
- Background in regulatory compliance and safety management
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and quality management systems
- Demonstrated success in implementing continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production systems
- Proven track record of achieving production and safety goals
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics
- Ensure that safety and health concerns are given primary consideration in all activities
- Follows company guidelines and actively participates in all safety processes
- Carry out job/area specific housekeeping duties and maintain a high standard of professionalism
- Look for, report, and correct any near misses/unsafe conditions or behaviors as soon as possible
- Identify needed changes and make recommendations - find a better way
