As a Production Manager your responsibilities will be:

• Develop and deliver through leadership and quality control systems
• Manages employees by establishing performance goals, allocating resources, and assessing performance.
• Provides leadership and direction to production supervisors and employees to continuously improve quality, reduce waste and increase throughput.
• Drive overall plant performance and compliance with quality and food safety standards.
• Responsible for articulating and defending standard and directional choices.
• Promote continual KPI improvements and active contribute to a culture of innovation, excellence and accountability.
• Responsible for mentoring and leading production staff through critique of their work to promote safety, quality and award-winning work.
• Make any process/productions changes to improve quality and/or production, including but not limited to; machines settings, raw materials and tooling changes.
• Implement process and/or procedure improvements.
• Directly supervises the activities of the Production Supervisors, Quality Control Technicians, and Shift Relief positions.        
• Commitment to a One Team Inclusive Culture and integrating a successful team.

A strong Production Manager will possess:

• 4-year degree in manufacturing, chemical or plastics engineering or equivalent experience.
• Two-years’ experience in manufacturing
• Experience with Lean/6-Sigma techniques
• Experience with coaching and performance management of staff at all levels
• Proven leadership skills with experience guiding teams
• Strong ability to provide clear direct and provide timely and helpful feedback to improve process
• Strong computer skills.  (Excel, Word, Access)
• Excellent oral and written communication.
