As a Project Engineer your responsibilities will be:
- Develop and lead projects so that material needs, contractors, and plant staff are informed and coordinated to complete necessary work in a timely manner.
- Review Predictive Maintenance data to ensure corrective measures are applied to prevent serious unplanned breakdowns.
- Assist in developing Best Practices, training materials, Modules for safety, Preventive / Predictive Maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting topics.
- Provide leadership and coordination support for Maintenance Department personnel and projects.
- Provide electrical/troubleshooting support for Maintenance Department personnel and projects.
- Provide engineering / technical support, including, but not limited to, installations, major failures, data collection/evaluation, machine design, process evaluation, system/component modeling, energy/control optimization, commissioning, and testing.
- Work with plant leadership to progress plant strategic plan
- Initiate projects and processes with other plant departments and then facilitate projects through execution
- Verify that rebuild and retrofit Bill of Materials cover components required for the work planned. Maintain accurate and up-to-date drawings / documentation related to projects and upgrades.
- Manage contractors and costs during project installations.

- Ensure the highest possible operating efficiency is obtained.
- Plan and develop expansion strategies and layouts.
- Develop and manage relationships with primary vendors and suppliers to ensure equipment reliability.
- Perform other related work as required.
- Plc programming
A strong Project Engineer will possess:
- Bachelor degree in Material Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Polymer Science.
- Project management experience a plus
- Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of design and visual software
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices
- Plastics equipment knowledge is a plus not mandatory

- Follows company guidelines and actively participates in all safety processes
- Carry out job/area specific housekeeping duties and maintain a high standard of professionalism
- Look for, report, and correct any near misses/unsafe conditions or behaviors as soon as possible
- Identify needed changes and make recommendations - find a better way
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues, requesting supervisor assistance when needed (use as needed)
