As part of our mission, we are looking for a Financial Planning Associate / Para-Planner to collaborate closely with our advisors and support our Director of Financial Planning in delivering compliance-approved, fee-based financial plans that meet client needs and align with our firm's commitment to excellence.
Role Overview:
The Financial Planning Associate / Para-Planner will play a critical role in supporting the financial planning process at Charter Oak Financial. Working directly under the Director of Financial Planning, this individual will focus on drafting and producing comprehensive financial plans, supporting advisors in their client planning efforts, and assisting with administrative tasks to ensure the seamless execution of financial planning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan Creation and Customization:
- Draft and produce compliance-approved fee-based financial plans using tools like RightCapital and/or eMoney.
- Tailor financial plans to reflect client goals, risk tolerance, and overall financial objectives.
Advisor Collaboration:
- Partner with advisors to gather necessary client data and provide insights into financial planning recommendations.
- Assist advisors in integrating financial planning into their practices effectively.
Plan Recommendations:
- Develop clear, detailed recommendation overviews to accompany financial plans.
- Collaborate with internal product specialists and external partners to design case-specific solutions and support product implementation.
Support for Training, Development, and Administrative Tasks:
- Assist the Director of Financial Planning in evaluating outcomes and ensuring alignment with firm goals.
- Provide administrative support, such as organizing data, maintaining records, and preparing reports, to streamline financial planning processes.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Familiarity with financial planning software like RightCapital or eMoney.
- Strong understanding of financial products, investment strategies, and industry regulations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred:
- 2-3 years of experience in the financial services industry.
- Experience in drafting compliance-approved financial plans.
- Securities registration or willingness to obtain it.
