Charter Oak Health Center is seeking a full time skilled and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our team who would help secure funding for our ongoing programs and projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to write compelling grant proposals, conduct research, and manage the grant application process from start to finish.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
- Research Funding Opportunities: Identify and research grant opportunities from federal, state, local, and private sources that align with the organization's programs and goals.
- Write Grant Proposals: Develop well-written, persuasive grant proposals, including narrative sections, budgets, and supporting documentation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with program managers, finance teams, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for proposal submissions.
- Submit Applications: Ensure that all grant applications are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner, adhering to all guidelines and deadlines.
- Grant Reporting: Prepare periodic reports on grant outcomes and track the progress of funded projects, ensuring compliance with funder requirements.
- Maintain Records: Keep detailed records of all proposals, applications, and reports for future reference and audits.
- Cultivate Relationships: Build and maintain positive relationships with funders, potential partners, and stakeholders to enhance future grant opportunities.
- Stay Informed: Keep up to date with trends in grant funding, best practices in proposal writing, and changes in funding regulations.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Professional Writing, or a similar major.
Experience:
Proven track record of successful grant applications.
Skills:
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clear, concise, and compelling proposals.
- Excellent research skills to identify appropriate funding opportunities.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and grant management software.
Certifications (Preferred, Not Required):
American Grant Writers' Association (AGWA) or from the Grant Professionals Association (GPA) preferred.
